Evangelism/Missions
We strongly believe in acting on the great commission given to us by Jesus, ‘to go into the world and make disciples of all nations Mk. 16:15-18: Matt. 28:18-20. We are a ministry bent on missions and evangelism. The Lord has sent us into the fields (Matt 9:37-38) to do the harvesting. We have expanded to Africa and in India.
What we do best: Evangelism is the heart of the ministry. Seven months out of the year with the weather permitting, we try to go out every other week with our PA system to evangelise in our local shopping centres, preaching the message of salvation and to distribute tracts. A team of our leaders go abroad once a year on missions to train leaders for service and to visit our dispersed churches in remote villages to encourage the believers and our Pastors.
Baptism
At Amazing Grace Ministries (Kingdom Centre), we love to see people giving their lives to Christ and taking the next step of water baptism, as their total commitment to Christ to be part of a journey into Christianity. Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward change, in that when someone gives their life to Christ they are changed from the inside out. Getting water baptised is a way of demonstrating that change.
Water baptism is also a sign of obedience to Christ, as He Himself said it was a requirement and He was baptised. The bible says in Acts 2:35 “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins”. Water baptism is also a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. We go down in the water just as Christ died and in the water, we leave our old self and rise up as a new creation in Christ.
